In this presentation, I review a season's worth of noteworthy thunderstorm events from May-September, 2016. Highlighted are specific, challenging cases including several supercell/giant hail days; Columbia, MD tornado; a couple of troubling "fizzles" and the mesometeorology of an event that grabbed national headlines: The highly destructive Ellicott City flash flood.
