Target Conferences is the official travel agent for the Workshop. In addition to the Workshop Package, a choice of pre-tours and post-accommodation is offered, specifically designed for participants of the Workshop.

WORKSHOP PACKAGE REGISTRATION

Includes:

Scientific sessions, book of abstracts, welcome reception, arrival and departure transfers to the airport (shared transfer service), 4 overnights at the Ein Gedi Kibbutz Hotel (on a shared room basis) including full board and coffee at breaks (commencing with dinner February 10, and ending with lunch on February 14), as well as social events as per tentative program.

*Graduate students and post-doc fellows are requested to provide an official authorization of their status.

HOW TO BOOK

Kindly complete the enclosed INTENTION and the REGISTRATION/ACCOMODATION FORMS and return with required payment at your earliest convenience.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SUBMIT A REGISTRATION FORM

PAYMENT

Payment must be submitted as appropriate together with the Registration/Accomodation Form. Target Conferences accepts cheques and major credit cards and direct bank transfers*. Payment in Israeli currency is subject to VAT (currently 15.5%). Local participants should contact Sharon at Target Conferences for rates to include VAT and exclude the sharing transfers from/to the airport.

*Please ensure that the names of the participants and the workshop name (Global) are clearly stated on the bank transfer. Bank transfer charges are the responsibility of the payer and should be paid at source.

CLIMATE

In February it is usually cool to warm during the day and cold at night.

We suggest you bring along comfortable walking shoes as well as a hat, sunglasses, bathing suit, and a jacket for the evening.

VISAS

Some participants may require a visa to enter Israel. We therefore suggest that you contact the Israeli Embassy/Consulate in your country or ask your travel agent for assistance. If you have difficulty obtaining a visa kindly contact the Workshop Secretariat who will make every effort to assist.

TRANSFERS FROM/TO BEN GURION INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO THE DEAD SEA AND RETURN

The Workshop will provide shared transfers to and from the Workshop Hotel for all participants who send details at least 2 weeks in advance. As transfers are on a seat in a car basis, there may be a waiting time of up to 1 hour at the airport. Transfer to/from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem can be arranged on spot (taxis, buses, trains) without pre-arrangements.

LETTER OF INVITATION

Upon request, the Secretariat is willing to send a personal letter of invitation to the applicant to participate in the Workshop. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Personal travel, luggage and health insurance is recommended. Please purchase this from your local travel agent.

All tours are booked on the express condition that Target Conferences shall not be responsible for and shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any loss, damage, injury or accident, to any person or his or her luggage or any other property, for any reason whatsoever.
