Data
Access
The standard way to access the SODA reanalysis data sets is through the
Live Access Server (LAS) mechanism (link to the left). The
LAS makes it relatively easy to create basic graphics and to download
subsets. The available data sets are described in detail in the History section. An expanding set
of LAS
sites offer many interesting data sets for comparison.
We also offer OPeNDAP
formerly known as DODS (Distributed Oceanographic Data Server, link to
the left) .

Ancillary Data Sets
We maintain a number of related data sets used in the reanalysis effort
(e.g. quality-controlled hydrographic data, surface drifter data,
winds) as well as datasets maintained for comparison purposes (e.g.
gridded surface currents, sea level), and datasets collected as part of
the assimilation procedure (e.g. observation-forecast and
observation-analysis differences). Some of these we will make
available through the LAS mechanism. Others will be available
upon request.
