BIOSKETCH:

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to England at the age of 13. We moved to a suburb named Whiteley which is situated between Southampton and Portsmouth. Here I spent most of my teenage years, before I moved to Bristol to complete my undergraduate degree in Environmental Geoscience.

In my third year I had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Oregon. Shortly thereafter I finished my masters program at the University of Bristol, where upon I was given the opportunity to pursue my PhD, as well as teach at the University of Maryland.
