Directions to Skywarn Class
Room 1202 Martin Hall (Engineering)
University of Maryland, College Park
A map of campus shows Martin Engineering building at the bottom center.
Coming from the North
Take Rt. 95 S towards the 495 beltway. The road will split into 495 East and West.Take the 495 West exit (right hand fork), and stay in the left-most lane. The exit for Rt. 1 will be on the left hand side after the road splits. Follow this exit and turn right onto Rt. 1 South.
Coming from the South, East, or West
The easiest way is to follow the 495 beltway around to the Rt. 1 South exit (it's on the northern section of the beltway close to I-95) and continue with the "once on Rt. 1 South" directions.
Once on Rt. 1 South
Take Rt. 1 South past the exit for Rt. 193.The entrance to campus is ~3 or 4 lights later. Make a right onto Campus Drive, and then make your first right onto Paint Branch Drive. Park in Lot XX1, which is the first parking lot on your right (do not park in Lot E, EE, T, or any other restricted lot because you may be ticketed).
To get to the lecture hall
Across Paint Branch Drive from the parking lot is Glenn Martin Hall. It runs along Campus Drive. Walk along the side of the building that's parallel to Campus Drive. Enter the second set of doors you see (middle of building, says 'Martin Hall' above it). The Lecture hall is straight ahead on the right, room 1202.
Coming by Metro
- Take the Green Line toward Greenbelt, and get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
- Take the east (left) exit from the station and walk straight ahead to the UM-shuttle bus stop. Get on the red UM-shuttle that says 104 College Park Metro station. It is free and you do not need a university ID to take it.
- Get off at the first stop after you cross US 1 at the traffic circle. Martin Hall will be to your right side one building behind you.
