As shown in the title, background, and horizontal rule, color is an attribute that may be added to
many HTML tags. There are two ways to do this:
Example: two ways to make a dark yellow word "POW!":
- Common Names -combinations such as 'color="light blue" is self-explanatory, but the
colors may not come out quite as you expect.
- RGB Vectors - The amount of Red,Green and Blue may be indicated by
two-digit hexadecimal components, in the format 'color="#RRGGBB"'. The components range from
0 to 256, or in hexadecimal, 00 to FF.
In the second case I mixed together components of red and green to make yellow. Since I used only
75% of the full range (75% = 196/256; hex(196) = C0) the color will be dark yellow.
- <font color="dark yellow">POW!</font>
- <font color="#C0C000">POW!</font>
