Location:
The Computer and Space Sciences Building, west wing is located in the northwest quadrant of the University of Maryland campus (unlabelled building between #224 and #227 on the quadrant map). Meter parking is no longer available in the garage labelled PG2 -- you need to park in the football parking garage (next to the stadium). The first floor has meters that will take quarters. All day passes for PG2 are available for $2.00 from the parking bureau on the west side of PG2.
The campus is accessible from all D.C. area airports, Reagon National, Dulles, or BWI as well as by AMTRAK (stop at New Carrolton and either take the metrorail green line to College Park or call me for a ride ). The official DC-area airport authority website is available here. BWI's website is here. Directions to campus and timing information are available here. Be aware: travel time to the campus varies depending on traffic conditions. Conditions on the beltway (rt. 495) are viewable here. More information location information is available through the main University website.
A number of commercial hotels are available in College Park and neighboring Greenbelt. The
better restaurants tend to be further west (Silver Spring, Kensington,
Bethesda). In addition, Marriott runs a convenient conference center on campus that has some rooms. Book ahead, as it fills up.
